LinkedIns Fake Job openings are a big Problem!

Is anyone else sick of seeing fake job postings on LinkedIn? I'm a graphic designer, and I've been noticing this shady trend lately. Take Swiggy, for example—they seem to post design-related roles almost every day, only to pull them down after a day or two. And guess what? The design team’s strength doesn’t seem to change at all.

As someone with experience in hiring processes, I can't help but think this is a façade. A lot of companies are doing this to inflate their growth metrics, luring potential investors with an illusion of expansion. It's not just misleading for job seekers—it’s also a big middle finger to their overworked employees, dangling a fake promise that "help is coming."

Do they think we’re stupid? It’s enraging how these posts waste the time and energy of hopeful applicants who genuinely think they’re applying for a real position. And let’s not even get started on the mental toll this takes on people desperately searching for jobs.

Why is this not regulated? Why is LinkedIn letting companies post and ghost? How do we hold these companies accountable? Should there be stricter verification of job postings, or can we, as a community, start flagging these fake ones?

This isn’t just unethical—it’s predatory. How do we stop these companies from treating the hiring process as a marketing gimmick?

Let’s talk. If this has happened to you, drop your experience below. Let’s expose this nonsense for what it is.
